Bookings and scheduling

Learn how to request a quote, how mechanics confirm appointments, what to do before they arrive, and how to make changes to an existing booking. Most reschedules and cancellations can be handled by replying to the appointment confirmation text.

Pricing, payments, and refunds

Quotes are flat-rate and include parts, labor, and the mechanic's travel. Payment is collected after the work is complete. If something goes wrong, refunds are processed within a few business days back to the original payment method.

Warranty and service guarantee

Most repairs include a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor. If a service-related issue arises within the warranty period, we'll dispatch a follow-up at no extra cost or refund the original work.

How do I get a quote from a mobile mechanic?

Submit a request from the Get Estimate page with your vehicle details, ZIP code, and a short description of the issue. You'll receive multiple quotes from certified mobile mechanics in your area, typically within 10 to 30 minutes during business hours.

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes. Reschedules are free up to 2 hours before the appointment. Cancellations within 2 hours of the appointment may incur a small dispatch fee since the mechanic has already prepared parts and routed to you.

What if a mechanic doesn't show up?

That's extremely rare, but if it happens, contact support immediately. We'll dispatch a backup mechanic at no extra cost and refund any prepaid amount associated with the original booking.

Do you offer a warranty on the work?

Yes. All repairs booked through TravelMechanic include a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor for most services. See our warranty page for full coverage details.

How do I leave feedback or a review?

After every appointment you'll receive a short text and email asking how it went. You can also email support@travelmechanic.ai any time with feedback or to request a follow-up visit.
